Our Team

Anne
Growing up in Cali, Colombia, Anne Boehm was exposed to salsa rhythms from an early age. She started as a child with ballet and floor gymnastics and then discovered her love for salsa. Anne spent extended periods in New York and Cuba to further her training as a dancer. Shaped by these experiences, she has developed her own unique style, a blend of New York Style Salsa On 2 and Afro-Cuban elements. Together with her dance partner Anichi, Anne has achieved worldwide success: European Salsa Champion 2007 (Blackpool, England), Salsa Vice World Champion 2009 at the Salsa World Championship in Miami, USA. With their impressive shows, they captivate national and international audiences. Anne & Anichi are among the most sought-after salsa instructors and show dancers in the world and are invited to all major salsa congresses. Their open approach, excellent teaching methods, musicality, multilingualism (English, Spanish, German, Italian), and unbridled passion for dance define their classes. They bring all their experience and enthusiasm to their own dance school, "AYA Latin Dance Academy" in Freiburg.

Anichi
Growing up in Ecuador, Nicaragua, and partly in Cuba, Anichi came into contact with the infectious rhythms of Latin America at a very early age. At 12, he attended a ballet and salsa school for the first time, which was run by a Cuban. The instructor discovered his talent and encouraged him until Anichi moved to Germany with his family (father from Germany, mother from Ecuador) at the age of 18, where he not only met his dance partner Anne but also discovered a somewhat different dance style. Through extensive training, discipline, and numerous advanced training trips to Cuba, NY, Puerto Rico, and Milan, Anne & Anichi worked their way up from local champions in Freiburg to the 2007 European Champion title and ultimately to the world elite with their Vice World Champion title in Miami in 2009. His professional expertise, natural charisma, and unconditional love for salsa make Anichi a highly sought-after and popular salsa instructor. See for yourself at: AYA Latin Dance Academy.
