FAQ

Frequently asked questions

  • No. Come on your own or with friends — partners rotate regularly in class, so you always have someone to dance with and meet lots of lovely people along the way.

  • Yes, your first class is free: 60 minutes to get to know the school. Pick a class in the schedule and book it directly — the trial is applied automatically. If you are a beginner, the first two weeks of a course are ideal, so you can keep going right away if you like it.

  • At AYA it gets hotter level by level: Suave 1 and 2 to start, Medium 1 and 2 to build up, Picante if you are steady on the beat, Muy Picante for advanced dancers. Classes marked “all levels” are open to everyone. Not sure? Ask us — or come to the free trial class.

  • There is no dress or shoe code. Dance the way you feel comfortable: in clothes you can move and sweat in. Barefoot, in socks, flat or high shoes — as long as you can turn well on the balls of your feet, it works.

  • Yes! You can join a single class in another course at any time. A drop-in costs €20, kids’ classes €15 — bookable right in the schedule.

  • Reduced prices (10 % less) apply to school pupils, students and children — with a valid ID. Kids’ classes get the reduced price automatically.

  • You can make up missed classes within the current course period: in any class at the same level or in an all-levels class. Just let the teacher know before it starts. You can make up to two classes per season.

  • Yes, nine weeks a year in total: five weeks in the Baden-Württemberg summer holidays, two over Christmas and one each at Whitsun and Easter. The monthly fees are calculated with the holidays already taken into account.

  • In writing, for example by email to [email protected] or right online via “cancel contracts here” — no login needed. After the minimum term your contract can be cancelled monthly.

  • By email, phone or in person at Rosastraße 9 — the whole AYA team is there with answers, tips and tricks. We look forward to hearing from you!
